Sara Clark is a founding member of the Georgia Natural Resources Foundation. Prior to being appointed to the Foundation Board she spent fourteen years as a member of the Board of Natural Resources and served as its year 2000 chair. During that time she was also a member of the North Georgia Mountains Authority and played an active role in the development of the Brasstown Valley Resort and the Retreat at Lake Blackshear. Other positions held by her have been President-Elect of the Georgia Environmental Council and member of the Lt. Governor’s Environmental Advisory Committee, helping to draft important paper recycling legislation. She also served on the Solid Waste Advisory Council, which was instrumental in drafting the Solid Waste Act for Georgia, and has been on the Advisory Board of the Trust for Public Land. She is a member of the League of Women Voters of Georgia and served two years as its state president. Sara has been the recipient of numerous awards recognizing her commitment to public service. Currently she resides with her husband, Roddy, in Ringgold, Georgia where she is serving her second term as a member of the Ringgold City Council.
