
Davis is the co-founder and CEO of Fire & Flavor, a nationally distributed grilling products company with products sold nationally in retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, and Publix. Davis is a lifelong entrepreneur and has also been active in numerous civic leadership roles over the years. Davis and his wife Gena are graduates of Leadership Georgia as well as The University of Georgia where Davis majored in Finance. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Georgia Foundation for Public Education which serves as the foundation for the Department of Education (DOE). His extended family on his mother’s side (the Hardman family) are the donors of Georgia’s newest State Park, The Hardman Farm, which was a turn-of-the-century dairy farm in White County purchased by his great grandfather, former Georgia Governor Lamartine Griffin Hardman of Commerce. This cultural touchstone is most recognized by the historic ‘Nacoochee Indian Mound’ found along the Chattahoochee River just south of Helen, Georgia. Davis currently resides in Athens, GA with his wife Gena, and their four young children. He is an outdoor enthusiast and loves fly fishing, quail hunting, and turkey hunting especially.
